Beowulf

The poem recounts the deeds of a Scandinavian prince, called Beowulf. He is the most famous warrior in the land of the Geats. Early in the poem, Beowulf crosses the sea to the land of the Danes, for save the country of their mortal monster, called Grendel, who had been terrifying Hrotgar's people. He is man-eating. After killing the monster, Beowulf returns triumphant to his homeland and he rules there as a king for fifty years. But the hero is a mortal man and when a dragon begins to terrorise the land of the Geats , Beowulf confronts and kills him, but he also meets his own death.
